Scan a crop, walk a field, save a plot.

A five-step guide to KrishiScan's AI diagnosis loop and the 'Walk the Boundary' GPS mapping tool — everything you need to master the app in under 10 minutes.

Open the AR Scanner

From your dashboard, tap the big green camera button. KrishiScan asks for one-time camera permission, then opens a full-frame viewfinder tuned for plant close-ups.

Tip · Hold your phone 20–30 cm from the affected leaf, in shaded daylight — direct sun washes out disease colours.

Frame a single suspect leaf

Line the leaf inside the on-screen crosshair. Our AI scans texture, colour deviation and pest markers on a full-resolution frame — a single leaf gives 3× better accuracy than a crowd shot.

  • Auto-focus lock: tap once on the leaf to lock focus
  • Multiple leaves? Take separate scans and Kisan Didi will combine them
  • Wet the leaf slightly if it's dust-covered — cleaner shots = better diagnosis

Get an instant diagnosis

In about 5 seconds our vision model returns the disease/deficiency/pest, a confidence score, and a treatment plan. Everything is voice-read in your language by Kisan Didi.

  • Diagnosis card lists both organic-first and chemical remedies
  • Toggle 'Organic only' before scanning if you sell certified organic
  • Tap the mic to ask a follow-up like 'Is this urgent?' or 'Cost estimate?'
Tip · The first line of the card is your action-in-24-hours. Anything below is context — don't get overwhelmed.

Save the plot & scan again

Tap 'Save to plot' to pin the diagnosis to a field boundary. Future scans on the same plot show the outbreak trend — you'll see if the disease is spreading or receding.

  • Diagnoses live in the 'History' tab, filterable by crop or plot
  • Pro plan farmers get a weekly outbreak SMS if the same pest hits nearby

Walk the Boundary (Pro)

From 'My Plots' → 'New plot' → 'Walk the Boundary'. Hit start, walk the edge of your field with your phone in your pocket, hit stop. KrishiScan captures a GPS-traced polygon accurate to sub-metre and overlays live 10 m satellite NDVI on it.

  • Works offline — your walk is buffered and synced when you come back online
  • Multi-plot support: draw as many parcels as you own
  • Boundary + NDVI let Profit AI compute yield forecasts per plot
Tip · Walking speed = normal walking pace. Anything faster than 6 km/h drops accuracy sharply.
